Out of curiosity do any of the devices support WGPU? I have tested both and and neither one seems to work even though WGPU supports GLES and they both support GLES 3 but seems like WGPU doesnt work on it even if glxgears does. I opened a ticket for FLX1 a while back but I marked it as potentially a halium based issue.

I want to see if any other device is working before i open a mobile linux ticket

Wow I've never seen this before! Usually the whole shell just freezes up or something unless I quickly SSH and kill or something. Definitely an improvement 😅️

A notification on the Phosh shell from saying "Application Stopped". The notification is from gnome-settings-daemon and the description says "Device memory is nearly full. An application was using a lot of memory and was forced to stop."

Dear @Mer__edith and the the amazing @signalapp team,

After the last update, the Signal "desktop app" is requiring us to launch the mobile app - however, many of us do not have the Android or any other "mobile" version of the Signal app any more.

We are a large (by our standards) group of phone users, and your "desktop" app is our "mobile" app : )

Our previous phones on which was initially activated was an Android or Apple device and we have since then completely migrated to . Some of us may have registered Signal on , Flare, , Signal Android in , etc.

The community is growing - we have members spanning a good number of projects and devices, e.g.
          - @purism and running -based , -based or ,
          - @PINE64 and PP Pro running , , etc.
          - @furilabs running -based ,
          - a wide variety of Android phones (including OnePlus 6, Google Pixel 3, 4 & 5) running -based @postmarketOS ,
          - @volla , and devices running by @ubports,
          - devices running @mobian which is part of project, etc.

[Apologies to any project I may have failed to include - you are all appreciated]

I finally went with diginate.com for the @mobian stickers, and also ordered some samples from Sticker Mule. I received both today, and prefer the Diginate ones (on the right):

            * more contrast, colors are more vivid
            * powerful editor to precisely adjust the cutting mask and padding (avoid unwanted white borders)
            * accept 600dpi pictures for a slightly more detailed result

Both look nice and are well cut though, and the photo really doesn't do them justice

4 hexagon stickers with the Mobian logo on a wooden table:
* top row are designed after the default Debian Bookworm theme
* bottom row are based on the default Debian Trixie theme

Hi @phosh, I'm currently running with on a . It looks great and works very well. Thanks for all this great work!

I have a question though, because I'm not a big fan of background images. Is it be possible to completely disable the background image and have just a black background (or could a plain black background be added)?

I like the very clean non-distracting black background like it currently is on Byzantium.

Hair is personal. Messaging should be too :xmpp:

The owner of Beeja Botanicals is my former classmate, and she's used the shampoo herself, so I know it's good! The first batch is ready and will be available for purchase at (or will be, once I've finished wrapping it all 😅)

[The XMPP logo] Introducing xampu, the XMPP themed shampoo bar!

What if your shampoo brand forced you to hang out only with people who use the same brand of shampoo? [Two people with focus lines on their hair. A lightning bolt strikes between them]

We think such restrictions are as absurd for messaging apps as they would be for hair products. [Similarly, two speech bubbles with a lightning bolt betwixt]

XMPP is a common language (protocol) that different chat services can use to talk to each other. [Image of many connected speech bubbles]

[Green banner saying] XMPP stands for "eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol". Since both those are a mouthful, people in Brazil have taken to affectionately pronouncing it xampu—which means shampoo.

[A rabbit] This shampoo bar by Beeja Botanicals is hand made using natural ingredients. It is free from harmful products like SLS and paraben, and contains no animal-tested products.

Like making your own shampoo, running your own chat server allows you to address local ethical and technical issues—more privacy? solar powered? larger upload size? integrated login?—that matter to you.

Not everyone has the time and energy to make shampoo, or to run their own XMPP server. Proceeds from this shampoo bar will go towards funding Prav, which operates XMPP services so you don't have to. [A pigeon]

📣 PSA: available at the Linux on Mobile booth at are not of the best quality and the colors will wear out from friction pretty quickly. My bad :(

They should still be fine for use in non-hazardous environments ☣️ ☀️

The back of a PinePhone is shown with a hexagonal Mobian sticker on top.

The sticker has a black background with a red swirl and the text "mobian" in white on top.
The surface is severely worn out allowing the white of the paper they were printed on to become visible.

Today there was a secret post meetup 🌈

10 phones (in 2 rows of 5 each) and some stickers laying on a sofa.
All of them are running Mobian, a Debian based operating system targetting mobile devices.
Two different options for graphical environments are shown:
phosh and plasma mobile.
