I run #Mobian on a #PinePhone (not pro). I'm not sure, if I would recommend that. Battery life sucks so badly.

And, yes, #Debian is compatible with a wide range of CPUs from amd64 to riscv64. As often with #Linux, problems might arise elsewhere, e.g. #Bluetooth chips etc.

Shopping around the major #Linux laptop manufacturers as well as Alienware (which I've had excellent luck with in the past), once the finances are freed up it looks like I'm ordering a @tuxedocomputers laptop. Mostly price point, but I can also mod it later on.

Versuche seit Jahren mal wieder #Linux auf Desktop aus, aber irgendwie immer noch die ähnlichen Probleme wie früher. Hardware lässt sich nicht installieren, falsche Distro für die Treiber, Rechner fährt immer erst im 2. Versuch hoch, wacht nicht immer aus Bildschirmsperre und wenn ist die Taskleiste weg. Dann hängt man wieder in Foren herum und muss sich fragen lassen, warum man nicht den anderen Fenstermanager oder die andere Distro genommen hat.
User experience insgesamt eher frustrierend.
